John Dessauer, President/CEO

John has a rich history as an entrepreneur. He has owned many companies in various industries, including: Environmental Services, Hospitality Services, Auto Services, Marketing, Education and Real Estate. 


Regarding real estate, John has transacted hundreds of deals in real estate in different sectors such as apartments, office buildings, retail, single-family homes and condominiums all within his personal portfolio.


Under John’s direction, Anton Agency has managed and brokered over 2MM of rental and retail square feet, which translates in over $150MM in property values.  As a Managing Broker in Illinois, Indiana and Florida he has the experience, knowledge and creativity to not only help you buy, sell and create a deal in real estate, but his team can finance it as well. 


He is a published author of 4 books on real estate and business and is a sought out speaker around the world regarding real estate, business, and entrepreneurship. John has a B.S. degree in Biology and Business Administration from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. 


Beth Daley, CMO

Beth has knowledge and experience in all facets of the industry. Spearheading marketing campaigns and running operations is something that comes natural to Beth. Beth has made a name for herself as a C-level management for a top private equity hedge fund growing them from start-up to over $20B in assets under management. Beth also manages our community outreach program, helping us take our goal to support growth in the parts of our community that need it the most. Beth has a BA Degree in Business from Northwestern University and an MBA from the University of Chicago. 

Heather Dessauer, CFO

Heather’s is not only a principal at Oppenheimer Realty Capital, but also a vital part of our Lender team. Heather is a licensed Managing Broker in Indiana and focuses on buying and selling of small residential properties. She also is an active investor buying single family houses, office buildings, and multi-family units. This activity is instrumental in understanding the finances of a national lending company and its clients. 


Heather acts as the Chief Financial Officer for Oppenheimer Realty Capital. Heather implements financial management strategies as it applies to the client’s financial objectives.  Heather has a B.S. Degree in General Studies/Psychology from Indiana University where she graduated with honors.

Joe Powers , General Manager; Loan Production

After serving his country in the U.S. Coast Guard and attending Rhode Island College, studying Broadcast Journalism, Joe worked his way up in the corporate world to upper management and ultimately a trainer on the national level. He has worked successfully in sales, marketing and advertising in both management and training roles for the past 20+ years.

His success and accomplishments have come from his ability to create relationships and work well with others from a Team approach. He took those skills and started his own real estate investment business as well as becoming a Licensed Real Estate Broker. For the past 10 years Joe and his team have bought, renovated and sold multiple properties across Southern New England. This gave him an education in real estate from the transaction process to the construction of homes and everything in between.

Brian Simpson, General Manger; Loan Production

Brian started off with one of the nation's largest residential mortgage brokers and has always been a huge producer in the mortgage space. His interest changed to working with investors instead of homeowners in 2016. Brian specializes in the origination of fix and flip, development and multifamily loans through Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.


Brian run sales and loan production for Oppenheimer which his first priority is to create a great environment for our loan officers and a productive situation for our clients. Brian has a B.S. Degree in Business Administration/Marketing from University of Iowa.

Steve Mayfield, Loan Production

  

Steve has over 30 years of knowledge and expertise in mortgage banking working with buyers and real-estate investors. Steve has developed long term relationships working with Builder Contractors securing construction loans and providing end financing for them. 


Steve is also an active real estate investor buying single family homes and multifamily-units, thus helping him understand the needs and concerns of real-estate investors.


Steve is an Army veteran with 6 years active duty and 4 years reserve status. Steve lives in Las Vegas, Nevada with his family. 

Niko Lopez, Loan Production

Niko is well versed in commercial loans. He comes from a family business in which they have under their investment portfolio, hotels, apartments and vacation rentals. Besides, Niko resides in the mecca of commercial real estate, Manhattan(Hells Kitchen), New York. 


Niko specializes in hospitality and hard to place commercial loans, that don't fit a traditional finance plan. He  grew up in Southern California where his family still operates their commercial portfolio today. 

Sonja Lawrence , Loan Production

Sonja started her investing career over 3 decades ago stemming from a strong example of goals, purposes and responsibilities her father instilled upon her. Basically, she loves real estate and she does what she loves.

Having been involved on the active and passive sides, in both residential and commercial, she is now part of Oppenheimer’s team to assist clients with their lending and investing needs in the real estate market.

Engaged in strong philanthropic efforts in her down time, Sonja serves on the Board of Directors & Chairs in the non-profit arena, focusing efforts on the development of capital. She stands behind the belief that the best investment is in self, then takes that investment and spreads it to out to directly and positively impact the lives of all those around.

Clarence Johnson, Loan Production

Principle manager at Johnson Capital Lending Group, a private money brokering company servicing the financial needs of real estate investors throughout the United States. Having a desire to learn the real estate market with a background in Architectural Engineering at Wentworth Institute of Technology now venturing into acquiring properties on the investment side through Johnson Capital Acquisitions.  Continuously networking and building relationships throughout the country bringing investors and lenders together to have a positive impact through lending and investing in the real estate market. 

Kevin Baisley, Loan Production

Kevin has spent the majority of his career in corporate America for the

automotive industry responsible for opening new markets and developing sales divisions across the country. In 2010 Kevin decided to make a change and started his own real estate investment company called Real Estate Medic Inc. where he has facilitated multiple real estate transactions. From rehabilitating neighborhoods, wholesaling, an impressive rental portfolio, lending capital as a private money lender to investing in multi-million-dollar commercial properties.


Kevin’s expertise in identifying profitable deals and structuring financing has

provided Kevin with the ability to help others expand their business.

For the past 6 years Kevin has worked for one of the top real estate education companies and has continued to be a top producer.

Kevin grew up in rural America which he contributes to his strong work ethic, and now lives in Upstate New York. Kevin enjoys the outdoors, where he enjoys fishing, hunting and boating in the Finger Lakes.

Tom Murray, Loan Production

 Thomas spent 6 years serving in the U.S. Air Force, where he was a nuclear weapons security specialist. After being honorable discharged, he began his career in luxury real estate sales & development, where he now enjoys over 25 years’ experience.  He has been involved in bringing numerous residential, commercial and mixed-use projects from concept to completion.  His work with many of the industries most talented developers allows Thomas to bring a strength of understanding few others can offer.  He focuses on overcoming the challenges each potential project holds, in order to skillfully advise his clients. Thomas understands the necessity of merging forward thinking with quantifiable results, and prides himself on his ability to forge strong relationships with each client, which is supported by his reputation for not only meeting, but exceeding expectations and consistently delivering positive results, no matter the market conditions. 

Mike "Coach" Taylor, Loan Production

Mike started in the real estate business in the mid 80’s as a broker and then transitioned into the investing side a few years later, doing fix and flips and passive income. During the last 30 years he has also worked in loan origination and appraisals giving him the full experience of all sides of the business. 


Mike has been through all types of markets and has the experience to help you navigate any situation that might arise. With this experience he is able to guide you through a smooth transaction from beginning to end. Mike thrives on customer service and communication with a loyal following of past clients.

Mike is originally from southern Africa and is a hall of fame soccer coach married with 3 children and 6 grandchildren.
